I've already made good progress in 2012, even though it's only Day 1. I saw a blog-post here and found it a very good idea. I have been working on some charity lap blankets and that has helped get through some of my Caron Simply Soft stash that I purchased years ago. That stuff makes really nice lap blankets. Sometimes the really bad knee flares up to the point that I can't walk. That happened this weekend, Saturday to be exact. This past Saturday was spent taking a Fiber Prep class. It was fabulous fun and we were able to play with all kinds of fiber tools. Middle Tennessee had some tornadic weather last night. Although I did have the comforter and the flashlight ready for the small windowless bathroom, we didn't have to go in there. My Wish List has a Nostepinne on it, however, I have been using several items as makeshift Nostepinnes to wind my yarn by hand. I absolutely LOVE 3-day weekends and wish I had them 2 or 3 times a month, but as human nature would prevail, I would then want 4-day weekends, so for now I will cherish my 3 day weekends. I saw the sample in the store and knew I just had to make the Toddler Dress for Gracie. I cast on for it while at Stitches and I finished it last week, so it took a month. I was not monogamous to the project but nearly. I made the 18 month size because Gracie will be 18 months this summer, however, I think it came out a little big. As I was surfing Ravelry one lazy weekend, I came across the Confection Baby Shrug and decided I just had to make it. It was suuuuper easy and looks really cute on Gracie. Picture yet to come of the model. I made mine from Berocco Comfort so it was easily washable. It took a little longer to make than I had expected but it wasn't bad and it's adorable. I usually keep a big project for knitting at home and currently it is the Best Friend's Jacket. I almost have one side done and I'm looking forward to it's completion.
